Program/Project Manager for Multi-National Tech Engagements 🌍

Seeking a skilled program/project manager with extensive experience in large-scale multi-national projects, particularly those involving cross-cultural collaboration, mergers, acquisitions, and tech portfolios.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Strong program/project management skills with experience in large-scale, multi-national engagements
• Fluent in English & Japanese (reading, writing, speaking)
• Excellent communication skills with cross-cultural sensitivity and adaptability
• Preferred experience in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and tech program management
• Retail industry experience highly preferred; applicable tech portfolios include Infrastructure, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations

Expected Engagement Hours & Locations

• In Japan (preferred): From around 6 AM to late afternoon (~8 hours/day). Location: Tokyo, with flexibility to travel and work from SEIYU office 2-3 times a week
• In US: Late morning to late evening CST (~8 hours/day)

Project Duration & Invoicing

• Duration: Expected to run until February 2024, with a possible extension into the first quarter of 2024 as contingency
• Invoicing: Through US cost center

Responsibilities

• Serve as the representative and primary contact for Walmart in Japan, available during Japan working hours
• Follow up on questions, clarifications, and status updates on deliverables between Seiyu and Walmart
• Maintain alignment on deliverables, risks, and issues for both Walmart and Seiyu
• Monitor the overall program plan and provide insights into potential risks to Walmart
• Participate in PMO meetings within Seiyu Japan
• Join cross-tower meetings requiring updates from Seiyu or Walmart
