About the Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Legal & Compliance (Italy), you will be instrumental in maintaining compliance across our platforms, systems, and processes, aligning with all relevant regulatory requirements while supporting the company's commercial goals. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Ensure technical compliance with Italian regulatory frameworks by supporting license applications, audits, certifications, migrations, and ongoing obligations.
• Perform gap assessments to advise teams on implementing suitable technical solutions/products.
• Interpret and operationalize technical requirements from Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM) and Sogei, translating them into effective internal processes.
• Monitor compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies, escalating significant issues as needed.
• Oversee ISO certification processes relevant to the Italian market, coordinating with internal teams to meet standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to embed compliance into system design.
• Work closely with the Managing Director for Italy and the Technical Director to align on strategic initiatives and regulatory priorities.
• Implement directives from senior management and maintain proactive engagement to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Manage external relationships as the primary liaison with auditors, consultants, and authorities such as ADM and Sogei, ensuring timely and accurate communications and reports.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 4+ years of experience in technical compliance within the iGaming sector.
• Proven experience in the Italian gambling market.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of Italian regulatory compliance, including GDPR, AML, and other relevant laws.
• Understanding of industry standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, and ISO 9001.
• Technical ability to collaborate effectively with developers, architects, and database administrators.
• Strong capability to translate technical compliance requirements into pragmatic business actions.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with regulatory authorities and external auditors.
• Familiarity with compliance tools and systems.
• A team player, solutions-oriented, and proactive in approach.
• Italian as your mother tongue and fluent in English.
