Join our team as a Tech Support Specialist to enhance system operations for Japan-maintained infrastructure during U.S. daytime hours, focusing on automation, issue resolution, and operational efficiency.
💰 Compensation & Work Hours
- Pay: $27 per hour
- Hours: Monday to Friday,
- 8:00am - 5:00pm (CDT)
- 7:00am - 4:00pm (CST)
- Potential Extension: Up to 8:00pm (CDT) or 7:00pm (CST) up to 2 days per week
📋 Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Tech Support Specialist to manage incident response and release operations for Japan-based systems during U.S. hours. This role aims to streamline operations, lessen the nighttime workload for Japan teams, and innovate through automation of incident and release management processes.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Support incident response and release operations for systems maintained in Japan
- Coordinate closely with Japan's system maintenance teams
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Develop and refine operational procedures
- Implement automation solutions to boost efficiency and quality
🎯 Qualifications
- Language Skills: Strong Japanese proficiency
- Experience: 3+ years as a system engineer
- Technical Knowledge: Intermediate understanding of system infrastructure (servers, networks, security), cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP), and Linux/Unix environments (RedHat, CentOS, Solaris)
🌟 Preferred Skills
- Experience with automation tools, scripting, or monitoring systems
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI
- Relevant IT certifications are advantageous
