The Department of Romance, German, and Slavic Studies invites applications for a full-time, renewable, non-tenure accruing position as Teaching Assistant Professor of Italian language. The appointment begins as early as Fall 2026, initially for three years.
📝 Responsibilities
- Direct the Italian language program
- Teach six courses annually (3/3 load)
- Oversee curriculum development, implementation, and assessment instruments
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. or equivalent in Italian language pedagogy, second language acquisition, or related field
- At least three years' teaching experience in Italian language courses at college or university levels
- Native or near-native proficiency in Italian and English
- Proven excellence in teaching Italian language at multiple levels (evaluations, recommendations, etc.)
