📝 POSITION SUMMARY

Provide students with engaging learning activities and experiences designed to support their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development, helping them reach their full potential.

🎯 ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES

• Design a personalized program of study that caters to each student's individual needs, interests, and abilities.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning, appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
• Prepare lessons incorporating accommodations for diverse learning needs.
• Show evidence of lesson planning and preparation upon supervisor request.
• Encourage students to uphold and maintain classroom behavior standards.
• Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals, establishing clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
• Utilize diverse instructional techniques and media suited to the classroom environment and student needs.
• Align instruction with district educational philosophy and goals through actions and teaching.
• Regularly assess student progress and provide necessary progress reports.
• Refer students for evaluation by district specialists when needed.
• Take precautions to ensure the safety of students, staff, equipment, and facilities.
• Maintain accurate and complete records according to legal and district policies.
• Help implement policies on student conduct, develop classroom rules, and maintain order fairly and justly.
• Be available to students and parents for educational purposes as needed.
• Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aides and volunteers, including performance evaluations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in district staff training.
• Attend staff meetings, serve on committees, and foster professional relationships with colleagues.
• Maintain open communication with students, parents, and community members.
