Position: Tajik / Russian Linguist (TS/SCI Clearance & Polygraph)

We are actively hiring for a skilled linguist to work in Reston, VA, with opportunities for extensive travel across the U.S. and overseas. This role involves translating documents into English and providing consecutive interpretation, supporting national security efforts.

🌍 Key Responsibilities

• Language Tasks: Conduct triage, gisting, and transcription of audio/video materials.
• Cultural Know-how: Apply knowledge of Tajik/Russian cultural context to accurately render idioms and abstract language.
• Travel: Willingness to travel 100% within the continental and outside the country, including warzones and austere locations.
• Operational Support: Support U.S. Government projects both domestically and internationally.

🎯 Required Education & Experience

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• BA/BS Degree strongly preferred.
• Proficiency at ILR Level 3 or equivalent in translation, speaking, and listening.
• Excellent skills in both Target Language and English.
• Willingness to travel at least 40% of the year, including to warzones.
• Ability to work in a Northern Virginia office during non-travel periods (standard 40-hour week).

• Strong teamwork and communication skills, including giving/receiving constructive feedback.
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute in English and the target language.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Qualification to meet warzone weapons requirements.
• Medical fitness for global travel.
• Flexibility to travel "anywhere, anytime" to meet evolving mission needs.
• Cultural and current events knowledge relevant to the area of expertise.
• Must pass the English test with a score of 80% or above.
• Copy of current US passport required.
