Job Summary
Interns will play a vital role in supporting several weeks of intensive entrepreneurial training and boot camps dedicated to Korean startup teams selected for the Tech Frontier Program. This unique opportunity allows interns to collaborate closely with leading entrepreneurs and startups from Korea, working alongside university-based Korean startup teams under the guidance of esteemed U.S. universities. 🌏
Key Responsibilities
- Work approximately 20–25 hours during the virtual segment and 20–25 hours for the in-person segment (additional hours may be requested)
- Provide translation between Korean and English (and vice versa)
- Deliver meeting/lesson summaries to assigned teams
- Participate in internship orientation
- Attend mandatory in-person sessions, including lessons and networking events (schedule to be decided)
- Collaborate with startup teams outside of scheduled sessions to:
- Offer logistical support for Korean entrepreneur groups and startup teams
- Assist teams via Zoom or in person as needed
- Support program logistics and coordination, including:
- Engagement with teaching teams and KIC DC
- Participation in special projects and tasks as assigned
Additional Information
- Interns will gain access to extensive networks and resources to facilitate task execution. 🔗
- Flexibility in availability is expected due to time zone differences between Korea and the U.S.
- Fluency in both Korean and English is required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English
- Current undergraduate student or holding a bachelor’s degree
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be flexible and adapt schedules as needed by KIC DC and startup teams
Compensation
The internship offers a pay range of $1,000 for up to 50 hours of work, with an additional rate of $20/hour for any hours beyond that. 💵
