Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with a robust background in the construction industry to manage financial activities, ensure precise project accounting, and uphold regulatory standards. This role will collaborate closely with project teams, operations, and leadership to drive financial success across ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• 🗂️ Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close
• 📝 Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• 🔍 Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies
• 📊 Monitor project budgets, analyze variances, and provide financial insights to project managers
• 🔎 Coordinate audits, tax filings, and external reporting requirements
• ⚙️ Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial systems
• 🤝 Collaborate with operations, estimating, and senior management on financial planning and forecasting

Required Qualifications

• 🎓 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 🛠️ Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, specifically in the construction industry
• 📂 Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, retainage, and tax filing
• 💻 Proficiency in QuickBooks, bill.com, and Justworks
• 🧠 Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• 📝 Familiarity with construction contracts is a must
