We are looking for a seasoned leader with a proven track record of delivering results to build and scale the Under the Roof (UTR) planning team in Japan. This role involves leveraging data-driven decision-making, expanding strategic programs, and leading diverse teams to support rapid business growth.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of Capacity Planning: Oversee 13-week and long-term capacity planning cycles.
- Capacity Strategy: Develop and influence network hiring strategies and ensure capacity meets demand amid volatility.
- Program Development: Build and manage programs/mechanisms to optimize last mile delivery operations and customer experience.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work across internal teams and with external partners, including tech leaders, to influence the technology roadmap and solve complex problems.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Regular interactions with senior leaders, including directors and VPs, to align strategies.
- Process & Tool Development: Create planning tools, models, and insights for the last mile network in Japan.
- Operational Excellence: Deliver high customer satisfaction while managing costs and improving delivery speed.
📝 Key Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years in business analytics, operations, capacity planning, or transportation
- Experience managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders
- Proven leadership in people management, coaching, and organizational development
- Business proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Business-level Japanese proficiency
- Master’s Degree or MBA
- Certified in Operational Excellence
- Experience leading large technical teams
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Leading start-up or project-based initiatives within last mile logistics
