🚀 What You'll Do:
- Craft the language of Duel Masters: Lead a team of internal and external editors and the rules manager to ensure each new card's wording in Japanese is clear, accurate, and impactful. Oversee the presentation and technical implementation, balancing tradition with new innovations. Make decisive calls on all textual elements for cards and packaging.
- Support creative text development: Collaborate with game design teams to align card names, flavor text, and flavor words with gameplay goals and creative visions.
- Maintain top-tier quality: Lead proofreading efforts for cards and packaging, ensuring content accuracy, consistent layout, and correct typography.
- Build the future of Duel Masters: Plan, schedule, and optimize workflow to ensure efficient resource use. Engage with game designers to explore and enhance potential new mechanics. Maintain comprehensive workflow documentation.
🎯 What You'll Bring:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year at a senior level in editing, game writing, or similar roles; or 3+ years with project leadership experience.
- Skills: Exceptional content editing, proofreading, and keen attention to detail.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong teamwork mindset with confident communication skills in Japanese and English.
- Adaptability: Creative, flexible, eager to learn, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
✨ Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with tools like Smartsheet, Microsoft Word, Adobe Suite (Acrobat, InDesign), and Confluence.
- Experience with or enthusiasm for Trading Card Games or other gaming genres.

💰 Compensation & Perks
The base salary range for this role is $87,300 – $149,500, with variations based on experience, skills, and location. Employees may also be eligible for annual and long-term incentives.
