Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AV Manager who can align business objectives with technical solutions. This role demands a client-facing professional capable of consulting on AV strategies, designing enterprise-grade systems, managing projects from conception to execution, and providing support during installations.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable presenting AV solutions to executive stakeholders, designing complex video conferencing systems, leading integration teams, and supporting end users in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client & Business Engagement: Serve as SME, assess needs, recommend solutions, and build relationships.
  • AV System Design & Engineering: Architect enterprise systems including video conferencing rooms, collaboration spaces, and digital signage.
  • Project Management & Leadership: Lead projects, manage teams, develop timelines, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Bill of Materials (BoM) & Commercial Review: Develop component lists, review vendor quotes, and support procurement.
  • Scope Documentation & Reporting: Define project scope, produce technical documentation, and prepare completion reports.
  • Installation Oversight & Support: Oversee installation, perform testing, troubleshoot issues, and train users.
  • Operational & Strategic Contribution: Establish standards, suggest upgrades, and stay abreast of emerging technologies.

Qualifications

Education

  • 4-year college degree in Network Engineering, Telecommunications, Audio/Visual Technology, or related field

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  1. Client & Business Engagement:
    • Serve as AV SME, conduct needs assessments, recommend scalable solutions.
    • Present AV technologies confidently and translate business needs into technical designs.
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  2. AV System Design & Engineering:
    • Design enterprise AV systems, including conference rooms, collaboration spaces, and signage.
    • Deep knowledge of Cisco, Poly, Webex, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom solutions.
    • Ensure system interoperability and signal flow integrity.
  3. Project Management & Leadership:
    • Lead projects from start to finish, coordinate teams, and develop project plans.
    • Manage risks and resolve technical challenges proactively.
  4. BoM & Commercial Review:
    • Create detailed component lists, validate vendor quotations, and review invoices.
  5. Scope Documentation & Reporting:
    • Define project scopes, produce technical diagrams, and complete final documentation.
  6. Installation & Support:
    • Oversee installation, testing, and validation; provide troubleshooting and user training.
  7. Operational & Strategic Contributions:
    • Set AV standards, suggest technology roadmaps, and support business growth through technical insights.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Travel Requirement

Approximately 50% travel is expected for this role.

Physical Demands

The physical requirements include sitting, handling equipment, climbing, and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distant, and color vision. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for individuals with disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications ⭐

  • 7+ years of experience in AV system design, integration, and project management.
  • Proven track record managing enterprise AV deployments.
  • Strong understanding of IP-based AV, networking fundamentals, and UC platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills with executives, engineers, and technicians.
  • Leadership experience in high-demand environments.
  • Exceptional documentation and reporting abilities.
  • Bilingual in Korean and English.

Preferred Certifications 🎓

  • AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I
  • PMP certification (a plus)
