Partnered with The Mom Project, a dynamic player in the automotive sector, is seeking a dedicated Contract Paralegal to support legal experts through research, fact-finding, and document preparation. This fully remote role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to legal proceedings in a flexible work environment.

Responsibilities 📝

• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as summonses, complaints, motions, responses, and subpoenas under the supervision of an attorney or senior paralegal.
• Review legal journals and assist with legal research to support case strategies.
• Help new lawyers prepare documents for court submissions.
• Assist attorneys in collecting relevant information including employment, medical, and other records.
• Attend legal meetings such as client interviews, hearings, or depositions, and document notes diligently.
• Organize and maintain law libraries, case files, and legal documents efficiently.
• Prepare and process various legal documents, including subpoenas, complaints, appeals, motions, and pretrial agreements.

Qualifications 🎓

• Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent training required.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish (both speaking and writing) is essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
• Basic understanding of laws, court procedures, legal codes, precedents, and government regulations.
• Experience with computer applications like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Hours & Location ⏰📍

• Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
• Position is hybrid: onsite in Detroit, MI on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work on other days.
