What You'll Be Doing

  • Customer Interactions

    • Manage inquiries related to Member Services, Medicare, and Billing in both Spanish and English.
    • Represent our client professionally by addressing and documenting all incoming queries, including complex issues involving specialized product lines.
  • Quality Service

    • Uphold the organization’s philosophy of delivering extraordinary customer relations.
    • Engage proactively with health plan, medical groups, and facilities to gather relevant information for resolving inquiries.
  • Problem Resolution

    • Analyze and evaluate customer issues to initiate service recovery actions.
    • Accurately document all member interactions following established procedures.
  • Healthcare Knowledge

    • Be familiar with health insurance terminology like copays, deductibles, claims, and authorizations.
    • Understand Medicare/Medicaid plans, regulations, and explain benefits, provider networks, and coverage policies.
  • Operational Excellence

    • Use your understanding of company policies to meet customer needs effectively.
    • Contribute to departmental goals while maintaining proficiency through ongoing training.
  • Performance Metrics

    • Monitor and achieve KPIs such as call handling, first call resolution, and member retention.
  • Compliance and Ethics

    • Uphold compliance standards and the Code of Conduct, maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
    • Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect member information and data security.
  • Tools and Systems

    • Navigate multiple systems like CRM, EMR/EHR, and ticketing platforms efficiently.

What You Bring

  • Experience:
    • Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written) required.
    • Minimum 2 years of customer service or healthcare member interaction experience.
    • Previous call center or health insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to respond clearly and concisely to customer questions.
    • Critical thinking aptitude.
    • Typing speed of at least 35 WPM with a low error rate (≤5%).
