Scope of the Role

The Global Vendor Management Specialist will oversee key vendor relationships across multiple categories, focusing on growth, negotiations, and performance metrics. This role involves driving cost savings, enhancing vendor collaboration, and improving the overall customer experience through strategic and tactical initiatives.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Director of Vendor Management & Global Sourcing and collaborates with cross-functional teams organization-wide. 🤝

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong business relationships with vendors to secure benefits like financial support and manufacturing priority.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Sales, Quality, Product Development, Procurement, and Sourcing teams to plan procurement based on vendor performance and market conditions.
• Negotiate strategic agreements, resolve chargebacks, and enforce quality standards to recover losses and improve products.
• Act as the lead contact between vendors and internal departments related to delivery, quality, and contracts.
• Manage vendor governance to maximize value and identify new business opportunities.
• Ensure vendors respond timely, validate compliance, and allow access for inspections.
• Partner with teams to ensure vendor compliance with BCP standards.
• Monitor vendor metrics, conduct routine reviews, and provide performance feedback.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to enhance vendor performance and prevent issues.
• Aggregate vendor performance data to make proactive business recommendations.
• Facilitate escalation processes and coordinate with vendors and internal teams for solutions.
• Maintain accurate and secure vendor contact information and payment terms.
• Assess vendors for new product qualification based on performance and capacity.
• Lead vendor training sessions covering company goals, platforms, and workflows.
• Continuously seek process improvements to optimize vendor management.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.

Qualifications & Required Experience

• Bilingual in English and Vietnamese is mandatory. 🇻🇳🇺🇸
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of vendor management experience with consumer goods factories.
• Knowledge of purchasing principles, supply chain management, ERP systems, forecasting, and demand planning preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of supply chain challenges, especially in developing countries.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage deadlines, analyze data, and exercise good judgment proactively.
