Professional Development & Support
WSFSSH strongly encourages M.S.W. level social workers to obtain their licensing. We support this through:
- Study groups for exam preparation 📚
- Payment for study courses if needed 💼
- Coverage of up to 2 licensing exam fees 💰
- Reimbursement for registration and licensing fees 📝
Once an MSW staff member obtains their LMSW, WSFSSH will cover reasonably priced CEU credits to meet licensing requirements. We also provide weekly clinical supervision by an LCSW. As a waivered agency with the NYS Education Department, work experience as an LMSW will count towards obtaining an LCSW. Typically, after 3 years of full-time employment, an LMSW is eligible to apply for their LCSW.
We also cover testing and licensing fees for the clinical license. When the LCSW is obtained, we continue to support license maintenance through CEU coverage.
