The Role 🎯

We are seeking a proactive Social Worker with a strong work ethic and sense of urgency. No Hebrew language skills are required, and we encourage candidates from traditionally underrepresented groups to apply!

What You’ll Do 📝

  • Create and maintain organized documentation of services and referrals for students and families
  • Complete progress notes and reports aligned with mandates and ethical standards
  • Set ambitious goals and develop intervention plans to support student success behaviorally and academically
  • Track and measure the impact of counseling and interventions based on individualized goals
  • Provide both individual and group counseling tailored to student needs
  • Build strong relationships with families to support student growth
  • Manage child abuse reporting and mandate reporting procedures
  • Coordinate with external providers to connect families with community resources
  • Conduct home and community visits as needed for assessment and support
  • Maintain high visibility and presence during school hours for students and staff
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement social-emotional learning programs
  • Work with staff to promote solutions-oriented approaches to challenges and student behaviors
  • Participate in staff meetings and school-wide events, along with other duties as assigned

Who You Are 🌟

  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in New York; Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred
  • Experience serving school-aged children
  • Knowledge of multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in urban school settings is preferred but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
