We are leading the way in transforming app quality by enabling companies to deliver exceptional digital experiences across web, mobile, wearables, and more. Currently, we are seeking a QA Tester for Virtual Assistant Devices with a focus on voice technology and Italian language capabilities.

Position Overview

As a QA Tester, you will work closely with our QA team at client offices in Sunnyvale and San Jose, CA to ensure the functionality, performance, and user experience of voice-enabled devices meet industry standards.

Basic Terms & Conditions

• Type: 1099 Contractor
• Term: Short-term engagement of 2 months
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, during standard business hours
• Capacity: Up to 40 hours per week
• Location: In-office ONLY — addresses in San Jose and Sunnyvale, CA (to be provided)
• Start Date: May 26, 2026
• Pay Rate: $50 USD per hour
• Required Languages: Italian (conversational to native fluency) and English (professional proficiency)

Key Responsibilities

• Create and review detailed test plans
• Design and evaluate comprehensive test cases
• Perform manual test executions to verify device behaviors
• Monitor, reproduce, and debug issues; capture logs, and document defects in JIRA
• Generate detailed test reports and communicate progress to maintain high-quality standards
• Conduct human-level assessment of de-DE LLM responses for accuracy and chatiness, relative to English responses

Qualifications

• Languages: Ideally bilingual in Italian-English; at minimum, fluent in Italian to operate voice-enabled devices, read and translate audio/text between Italian and English
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience: Over 1 year of experience in software QA testing; familiarity with voice assistants like Siri, Alexa, Google Voice, etc.
• Tools: Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing in-vehicle infotainment systems or consumer electronics
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet)
• Strong debugging skills and ability to troubleshoot complex, integrated systems
