Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a dedicated Service Manager to oversee technical planning, execution, and customer collaboration for Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA). 🌟 Summary

This role is responsible for the comprehensive technical planning and execution of maintenance events for LTSA projects in Latin America. The Service Manager ensures contractual obligations are met, inspections are carried out efficiently and within budget, and maintains clear communication with both internal teams and customers. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, quality, and product reliability, requiring sound decision-making and leadership skills.

πŸ”§ Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Oversee the planning and execution of LTSA projects in LATAM, ensuring adherence to contractual and safety standards.
  • Pre-Outage Planning: Lead technical preparations for scheduled outages according to planning guidelines.
  • Resource Coordination: Manage internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors, including local and international vendors.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Work with procurement to secure necessary parts, tools, and consumables for maintenance activities.
  • Logistics & Visa Management: Handle visa processes and logistics to facilitate service execution personnel deployment.
  • Event Management: Provide guidance during outage events, overseeing safety, quality, productivity, and schedule adherence.
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement: Conduct post-outage reviews to identify best practices and improvement opportunities.
  • Technical Issue Resolution: Collaborate with engineering and technical leads to resolve technical challenges.
  • Process Development: Support the development and refinement of LATAM-specific processes.
  • Customer Collaboration: Engage with customers proactively to maximize contracted scope and strengthen relationships.
  • Project Management: Lead contractual activities such as inspections, repairs, and closures, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 40% to customer sites for outage planning and execution.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as required to support operational success.

πŸŽ“ Knowledge, Skills & Education

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree (BSME, BSEE) or equivalent experience with at least 7 years of related work, including 3+ years project management experience. Powerplant field experience required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of gas turbine technology, including design, materials, and operational principles. General knowledge of steam turbines and generators.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese proficiency is preferred.
  • Mathematical & Reasoning Skills: Ability to perform calculations and solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in email, word processing, spreadsheets, and basic databases.

Routine activities involve standing, walking, bending, talking, and hearing. Employees may need to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
