📢 About the Role

Leidos is seeking highly skilled Russian linguists and interpreters to join our dedicated team. This position demands linguistic excellence, cultural insight, and precision across various complex tasks to support critical operations.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Translation:
  • Translate digital and hard copy materials from Russian to English and vice versa.
  • Capture subtle nuances, cultural references, and abstract concepts with contextual accuracy.
  • Employ terminology consistent with subject matter norms.
• Interpretation:
  • Perform consecutive interpretation; occasional simultaneous interpretation may be required.
  • Maintain high fidelity and fluency, understanding regional dialects and cultural contexts.
• Transcription:
  • Accurately transcribe audio content and produce high-quality English reports.
  • Demonstrate nuanced understanding of dialectical variations.
• Gisting & Summarization:
  • Identify and summarize key facts and abstract concepts.
  • Prioritize and extract critical information efficiently.
  • Utilize reference materials effectively to support quality output.

🎯 What You Bring

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph preferred; sponsorship for upgrades available (must be fully adjudicated before start).
• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6–10 years (additional experience may substitute for degree).
• Minimum 4+ years of recent professional interpretation experience.
• Strong interpretation experience, especially within the Intelligence Community or military operations.
• Proficiency in English with at least 90% on English testing.
• Ability to pass Leidos-administered language proficiency test or equivalent (ILR 4 / SLR 4+).
• Translation/interpretation degree is highly desirable; HLT experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic online research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Russian.

• Willing to TDY 10–25% of the time.
• Experience supporting contingency operations.
• Familiarity with U.S. Intelligence, military, or law enforcement environments.
• Ability to brief and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Multilingual proficiency is a strong asset.
