Position Overview

We are currently seeking highly skilled Senior Russian Interpreters to join our mission-driven team. This role demands a language professional capable of executing complex linguistic tasks with precision and cultural insight.

What You’ll Do 🔍

• Translation:
  • Translate materials (digital and hard copy) from Russian to English and vice versa.
  • Capture subtle nuances, cultural references, and abstract concepts accurately.
  • Effectively interpret geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural references.
  • Use terminology aligned with subject matter norms.
• Interpretation:
  • Provide consecutive interpretation; occasional simultaneous interpretation.
  • Maintain high fidelity and fluency, understanding regional dialects and cultural context.
• Transcription:
  • Listen to audio or review online content and transcribe accurately and efficiently.
  • Produce high-quality English reports from audio/visual sources.
  • Demonstrate understanding of dialectical variations.
• Gisting & Summarization:
  • Identify and summarize key facts and concepts.
  • Extract critical information from large datasets.
  • Utilize reference materials to enhance quality.

What You Bring 🎯

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph preferred; sponsorship for upgrades available (must be fully adjudicated before work begins).
• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6–10 years of experience (additional experience may substitute for degree).
• Over 4 years of professional and recent interpretation experience.
• Strong interpretation skills, especially within the Intelligence Community and Operations.
• Must score at least 90% on English proficiency testing.
• Successful completion of a Leidos-administered or equivalent language proficiency test at Senior level (ILR 4 / SLR 4+).
• Translation or interpretation degrees are highly desirable.
• HLT experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online research tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and the target language.

Preferred Qualifications ✅

• Willingness to travel 10-25% (TDY).
• Experience supporting contingency operations as an interpreter.
• Familiarity with U.S. Intelligence, military, or law enforcement environments.
• Ability to brief and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Multilingual capabilities are a strong asset.
