About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Senior Loan Officer/Underwriter. The official job title may vary from Officer to Vice President, based on your level of expertise. This role will be based at either the Georgia Loan Center in Duluth, GA or the Eastern Loan Center in Fort Lee, NJ. Key responsibilities include supporting the Loan Center Manager with daily operations, executing marketing initiatives, collaborating with staff to meet goals, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining communication with management, and providing regular reports.
Responsibilities
- Review credit memorandums for new loans, renewals, extensions, and modifications of existing commercial credits.
- Make preliminary decisions regarding credit memorandums and inquiries for new applicants (GA Loan Center).
- Monitor the commercial loan portfolio to ensure compliance with covenants and appropriate risk ratings.
- Reduce defaults by ongoing portfolio reviews and proactive communication with borrowers and guarantors.
- Assist lending staff in underwriting, customer service, decision-making, loan structuring, and loan monitoring.
- Collaborate with staff to develop and execute localized marketing strategies for bank products.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in commercial lending or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit modeling, and lending documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and loan underwriting tools.
- Experience in marketing strategies.
- Preference for bilingual candidates fluent in English and Korean.
