Exciting Opportunity: Senior Loan Officer / Underwriter

Join our client’s dynamic team as a Senior Loan Officer/Underwriter, a pivotal role supporting loan center operations, marketing strategies, and compliance across Georgia and New Jersey locations.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Loan Officer/Underwriter. The official title will be Officer Vice President, commensurate with experience. This position is based at either the Georgia Loan Center in Duluth, GA, or the Eastern Loan Center in Fort Lee, NJ. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Loan Center Manager to ensure efficient loan operations, implement marketing initiatives, and maintain regulatory compliance. Regular communication with management and staff, along with periodic reports, will be essential to success.

Responsibilities

• Review credit memorandums for new, renewal, extension, and modification of existing commercial credits 📄
• Make preliminary credit decisions and handle inquiries for new applicants at the GA Loan Center ⚖️
• Monitor the commercial loan portfolio to ensure covenant compliance and appropriate risk ratings 🔍
• Reduce defaults by conducting ongoing portfolio reviews and engaging with borrowers/guarantors 🙌
• Support lending staff with underwriting, customer service, loan structuring, and monitoring decisions 💼
• Collaborate with loan staff to develop and execute localized marketing strategies for bank products 📈

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of commercial lending or related experience 🏦
• Strong understanding of financial statements, credit modeling, and lending principles 📊
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and loan underwriting tools 💻
• Experience in marketing activities 📣
• Bilingual in English and Korean (preferred) 🇺🇸🇰🇷

Compensation

Annual salary up to $80,000 for candidates with 2-4 years of relevant experience.*
*Actual compensation will be based on experience and is negotiable.
