Position Overview 🚀

We are looking for an experienced, highly analytical Senior Accountant to oversee and improve our financial operations. This hands-on role involves managing accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to support our business growth. Ideal candidates are proactive, meticulous, and ready to own complex accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities ✅

• Financial Recordkeeping: Lead the preparation and management of general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and precise payments and collections.
• Closing Processes: Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, including consolidations and financial statements.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and management dashboards monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Tax Compliance: Handle federal, state, and local tax filings, sales tax reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Financial Planning: Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decisions through detailed analysis and management presentations.
• Regulatory & Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP (and IFRS where applicable) and uphold internal control standards.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with teams including our Korea headquarters to gather financial data and support initiatives.
• Audit Support: Prepare documentation, respond to audit inquiries, and implement recommendations.
• Team Mentorship: Assist and mentor junior staff as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements 🎯

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing, medical devices, biotech, or related industries.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean (spoken & written) is highly preferred.
• Advanced skills in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, NetSuite, etc.) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced functions).
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, tax laws, and multi-state compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills 🌟

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of multi-state and international tax regulations.
• Experience supporting audits within regulated environments (FDA, medical devices, biotech).
• Understanding of inventory costing, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and capitalized costs in manufacturing.
