Position: Seasonal Human Resources Assistant – Bilingual Spanish
The Rockies are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative HR Assistant / Recruiting Coordinator to assist with recruiting, onboarding, I-9 compliance, file management, and general HR support. Bilingual skills are essential to effectively facilitate onboarding for Spanish-speaking players and staff.
📝 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruiting Support: Manage full-cycle recruiting activities including scheduling interviews, conducting phone screens, reviewing resumes, and maintaining requisition details in UKG ATS to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Onboarding Assistance: Support onboarding of new-hires, ensuring all documentation is completed across multiple systems.
- Spanish-speaking Support: Provide onboarding and training support for Spanish-speaking players and employees at Coors Field and Salt River Fields Spring Training facility in Scottsdale, AZ, creating a welcoming environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate employee records, including job details, organizational structures, and staffing changes.
- Documentation Management: Scan, organize, and upload employee documentation in HRIS systems.
- Compliance: Assist with I-9 audits, recruiting status reports, and other reporting requirements.
- HR Communications: Draft and distribute HR-related messages.
- Administrative Support: Provide general support to HR and Talent Acquisition teams.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.
🎯 Job Requirements
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Outlook.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on tasks with clear communication.
- Discretion: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Work Environment: Ability to work onsite consistently at Coors Field and travel as needed, including one week in Scottsdale, AZ.
- Experience: HR, recruiting coordination, administrative support, or related experience preferred.
- Systems Familiarity: Experience with HRIS platforms such as UKG, Equifax, or similar tools preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Leadership Interaction: Experience interacting with senior leadership is a plus.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
🕒 Working Conditions / Work Schedule
- Primarily office-based at Coors Field; sedentary work on a computer and scanner.
- Up to 1 week of travel to Scottsdale, AZ.
- Frequent walking around the ballpark for meetings and events.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Flexible office hours, Monday through Friday, adjusted for game days and travel responsibilities.
- Seasonal position with an estimated end date of July 31, 2026.
💰 Compensation Range
$26 per hour
This temporary, seasonal role does not include health or welfare benefits. However, the Rockies offer perks such as a 401(k) with employer match, parking, complimentary game tickets, merchandise discounts, and an employee assistance program. All benefits are subject to eligibility and plan terms.
