The Colorado Rockies are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Seasonal HR Assistant / Recruiting Coordinator to support HR operations and talent acquisition for the team and Event Services, LLC. This position plays a key role in recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and administrative support. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for Spanish-speaking players and employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 📝
- Support full-cycle recruiting: Schedule interviews, conduct phone screens, review resumes, and maintain requisition details in UKG ATS to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Assist with onboarding: Guide new hires through documentation processes across various systems.
- Provide onboarding and training: Support Spanish-speaking players and employees at Coors Field and Salt River Fields Spring Training facility in Scottsdale, AZ, ensuring an accessible and welcoming experience.
- Maintain employee records: Keep accurate data on job details, organizational structures, and staffing changes.
- Document management: Scan, organize, and upload employee documentation into the HRIS system.
- Ensure compliance: Assist with I-9 audits, recruit reporting, and other required documentation and audits.
- Communicate effectively: Draft and distribute HR-related communications.
- Administrative support: Provide general assistance to HR and Talent Acquisition teams.
- Perform other duties: As assigned to support team success.
Job Requirements 🎯
- Fluent in English and Spanish: Both verbal and written skills are mandatory.
- Technical proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Outlook.
- Attention to detail: Strong organizational skills and clear communication.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Onsite availability: Must work consistently at Coors Field and travel as needed, including a week in Scottsdale, AZ for onboarding and recruiting events.
- Preferred experience: Background in HR, recruiting, support roles, or familiarity with HRIS systems like UKG, Equifax, etc.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Leadership interaction: Experience working with senior leadership is a plus.
- Adaptability: Capable of adjusting to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Working Conditions & Schedule ⚾🕒
- This role is based at Coors Field in a mostly sedentary, office environment.
- Must be comfortable spending most of the day on a computer and using scanning equipment.
- Travel requirements include up to 1 week in Scottsdale, AZ.
- Walks around the ballpark for meetings and events.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds when needed.
- Office hours vary between Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with adjustments for game days and travel.
- Seasonal position with an anticipated end date of 07/31/2026.
- Average workweek: 40 hours.
Compensation & Benefits 💸
The position offers:
- Hourly rate: $26 per hour.
- This is a temporary seasonally-based role, not eligible for company health benefits.
