Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Basis Consultant with a minimum of 10 years of operational SAP experience. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in both SAP Basis Technical and Functional areas, along with a strong understanding of SAP culture, tools such as tickets, Launchpad/SAP, and more.

🛠️ Responsibilities

• SAP Basis Administration:

  Perform daily activities related to SAP system administration, including system monitoring, user management, performance tuning, system upgrades, and patch application.

• System Landscape Design:

  Design and maintain SAP system landscapes to ensure performance, high availability, and scalability. This involves defining system architectures, hardware sizing, and disaster recovery implementation.

• System Installations and Upgrades:

  Plan and execute SAP system installations and upgrades, including technical upgrades, enhancement package, and support pack installations, ensuring minimal business disruption.

• Transport Management:

  Manage SAP transport systems, including creation, import, and export of transports, monitoring logs, and resolving issues.

• System Monitoring & Performance Optimization:

  Monitor system health, identify bottlenecks, and implement measures to improve responsiveness and efficiency. Conduct regular health checks and resolve issues proactively.

• Security & Authorization:

  Maintain SAP security, including user administration, role-based access, and authorization management, complying with security policies and best practices.

• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

  Address SAP system incidents, problems, and service requests. Collaborate with functional teams for timely troubleshooting and resolution.

• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:

  Create comprehensive documentation of configurations and procedures. Share knowledge effectively to team members and end-users.

• Collaboration & Teamwork:

  Work closely with developers, functional consultants, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless system operations and integrations.

🎯 Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration, including both technical and functional aspects.
• German language proficiency is mandatory.
• Deep knowledge of SAP system landscapes, administration, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in SAP tools and technologies such as tickets, Launchpad/SAP, and related systems.
• Strong understanding of SAP security and authorization concepts.
• Experience with SAP system installations, upgrades, and landscape design.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex SAP issues.
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration) are a plus.
