Responsibilities

  • 🎓 Educate and assist qualified individuals with applying for coverage through the NY State of Health Marketplace, including Qualified Health Plans (QHP), Medicaid, and Child Health Plus.
  • 📞 Support consumers in contacting the NY State of Health Customer Services for enrollment assistance and verification documentation.
  • 🧑‍🏫 Conduct public education campaigns to raise awareness about available QHPs within the Marketplace.
  • 💡 Explain eligibility for public programs, federal health insurance premium tax credits, cost-sharing reductions, and potential risk factors.
  • 📝 Describe health insurance features such as deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance, and how they impact consumers.
  • 🏅 Outline the different metal tiers within the Marketplace and how benefits vary based on income.
  • 🎤 Lead presentations and participate in ACA forums and workshops as needed.
  • 📄 Assist consumers in submitting documents via scan, fax, or mail.
  • 🔄 Support existing members with recertification and premium payment submissions.
  • 📊 Maintain detailed activity tracking and monitor application progress through personal dashboards.
  • 🚀 Follow up on potential leads through the MetroPlusHealth 'Marketplus' lead management system.
  • 💻 Enter applicant data accurately into the MetroPlusHealth 'Enrollment Program' during initial encounters.
  • ⚠️ Ensure compliance with conflict-of-interest standards and all other regulatory requirements.
  • 🕒 Work evenings and weekends as required.
  • All other tasks necessary to fulfill role expectations.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • 🔒 Safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) to ensure security and confidentiality.
  • 🌎 Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate information to diverse populations.
  • 🎓 Participate in ongoing training, webinars, and industry updates.
  • 📜 Complete annual recertification as a Marketplace Facilitated Enroller (MFE).
  • 📝 Stay informed about industry and regulatory changes related to the ACA and Marketplace.
  • 🤫 Maintain discretion regarding sensitive business information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Required Education, Training & Professional Experience

  • 🎓 High School Diploma or GED required.
  • ⏳ Minimum of 3 years sales experience.
  • 🎤 Prior public speaking experience.

Licensure and Certification

  • ✅ Complete and pass NY State of Health approved training and become certified.
  • 🔄 Complete all annual recertification requirements as an MFE.
