The Role
The In Vitro Diagnostics Sales Area Manager – Center Italy is responsible for building new customer relationships and strengthening existing ones, primarily focused on Central Italy. You will leverage industry knowledge, influence skills, and connections with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to develop profitable initiatives and expand our IVD business in the region.
This position is part of our outstanding Italian IVD Sales Team, reports to the National Sales Manager, and is fully remote.
What You Will Do 🚀
- Drive and expand sales in the region, adhering to company policies and core values.
- Analyze market trends to identify and capitalize on new commercial opportunities.
- Set and achieve sales targets, continuously monitoring KPIs and results.
- Develop business strategies to increase sales, market share, and profitability based on market analysis.
- Manage and cultivate the customer portfolio within the assigned geographic area.
- Visit customers and KOLs regularly to nurture strong business relationships.
- Support and train the sales network to maximize team effectiveness.
- Handle complex negotiations confidently and professionally.
- Participate actively in the full sales cycle, collaborating with Tender & Sales Administration, Marketing, Lab Solutions, and Customer Care teams.
- Prepare reports on performance, forecasts, and activities to inform strategic decisions.
Who You Are 🎯
- Holder of a degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or CTF.
- At least five years of sales experience in IVD laboratory instruments or similar fields.
- Strong understanding of complex tenders across public and private sectors.
- Fluent in Italian and highly proficient in English.
- Proficient with PC tools and experienced with CRM systems such as Salesforce.com.
- Willing to travel across hospitals and laboratories in the region.
