Job Description
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Partner with the VP, brokers, and distributor networks to develop and execute sales strategies targeting national and regional retail accounts within the U.S. grocery store channel.
- Broker & Team Management: Lead and motivate the broker network, working across all levels to achieve sales objectives.
- Financial Goals: Achieve budgeted revenues and sales targets, maximize profitability, and contribute to annual budget and marketing plan development.
- Sales Operations: Oversee daily sales activities, including acquiring new accounts, maintaining existing ones, and implementing strategic plans.
- Distribution & Promotion: Develop distribution goals and promotional plans aligned with company guidelines, managing forecasts, profitability, and trade spend targets.
- Customer Relations: Build strong relationships through meetings and site visits to meet or exceed sales projections.
- Market Analysis & Reporting: Assist in generating sales forecasts and reports, analyzing market trends, and strategizing to increase revenue and market share.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with R&D, Production, and Quality teams to drive product development and improvements based on customer feedback.
- Product Development: Keep the R&D team informed about food trends to develop new SKUs and enhance current recipes.
- Quality & Tasting: Participate in sensory evaluations to provide real-time product feedback.
- Trade Shows & Business Development: Represent the company at nationwide food shows to explore new business opportunities.
- Leadership & Strategy: Collaborate with the CEO to implement innovative sales initiatives.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other tasks as assigned to support company growth.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: 3-5 years proven leadership in sales within the food industry, with experience managing food brokers.
- Market Knowledge: Familiar with sales cycles for retailers, wholesalers, and food service channels; experience in mainstream markets preferred.
- Skills: Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational Abilities: Capable of prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel Flexibility: Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- License & Software Proficiency: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proficiency in Google Apps, MS Office, etc.
Additional Information
