Position Overview 🎯
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead our sales and business development efforts in North America. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Driving revenue growth
- Managing local commercial partnerships
- Expanding EL AL’s presence within travel trade, corporate, and agency segments
This role requires strategic thinking, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the airlines or travel industry. The successful candidate will lead a team, identify new opportunities, and foster lasting relationships to support EL AL’s growth and branding objectives.
Key Responsibilities 📝
- Lead all aspects of EL AL’s commercial activities
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue and market share targets
- Lead, coach, and support a team of Sales and Account Managers across the region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, corporate clients, and local airline partners
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Airport Operations teams to align with commercial goals
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and adapt strategies
- Create targeted sales campaigns and incentive programs to enhance market performance
- Establish new partnerships with hotels, car rental agencies, and tour operators in Israel
Qualifications 📚
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- At least 10 years of experience in the aviation industry
- Minimum of 5 years in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Certifications such as BA/MA/RM certificate, BI expert (a plus)
- Proven success managing multi-state or regional sales territories
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical abilities and strategic planning skills
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the region
Preferred Skills 🌟
- Fluency in Hebrew
- Experience with CRM platforms like Salesforce
- Established relationships within the travel trade or corporate travel community
