About This Role
Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) are the driving force behind Rubrik's go-to-market strategy. Through targeted outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification, you will generate a high-quality sales pipeline by researching accounts, crafting personalized outreach, and securing meetings with decision-makers across organizations in need of our solutions.
This role serves as a launchpad — designed to develop you into a full-cycle sales professional. SDRs receive structured coaching, ongoing training, and a clearly defined career path toward closing roles.
What You'll Do
Prospecting & Pipeline Generation
- Support the Montreal and Toronto territories
- Research target accounts, identify high-potential contacts, and craft personalized outreach across email, phone, and social channels to generate qualified meetings for field sales teams
- Leverage customer success stories, case studies, and proof points in your outreach to demonstrate real-world impact — connecting a prospect's pain to how Rubrik has already solved similar challenges
- Follow up on marketing-generated inbound leads within established SLA and compliance metrics
- Manage your pipeline, leads, and activity data meticulously in Salesforce
- Track and report your performance against defined activity and outcome targets
Collaboration & Strategy
- Partner with your aligned field sales team to develop account strategies and penetrate priority accounts
- Stay informed on cybersecurity trends, industry developments, and the competitive landscape to refine your messaging
- Develop thorough knowledge of Rubrik's products and the business problems they solve
- Participate in coaching sessions, call reviews, pitch competitions, and bootcamps to accelerate your sales skills
What You'll Bring
Required:
- 0–2 years of experience in B2B sales, lead generation, or customer-facing roles (internships and non-traditional backgrounds welcome)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest and aptitude for quickly learning technical concepts
- Comfort working in a metrics-driven environment with clear daily and weekly targets
- A genuine desire to build a career in sales and business development
- Fluency in both French and English
- Ability to work out of Rubrik's Austin office at least 4 days a week
Preferred:
- Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, Orum, or similar sales engagement tools
- Exposure to cybersecurity or data management technologies
- Experience using AI-powered sales tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gong, Clari, 6sense) to enhance prospecting efficiency
