Job Summary 📝

This outside sales role involves promoting Sysco’s products and building relationships with new and existing accounts. The primary goal is to help customers succeed while meeting sales and profit targets. Flexibility in working hours (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) may be necessary to serve customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and nurture existing accounts for profitable growth
  • Qualify prospects according to company strategies
  • Research customer needs and recommend suitable products/services
  • Stay informed on market trends, product innovations, and competitors
  • Answer customer inquiries about products, pricing, and use
  • Provide product training and support to customer personnel
  • Drive regularly to customer sites, events, and meetings
  • Manage accounts receivable and coordinate with credit/debit departments
  • Ensure timely deliveries and troubleshoot order issues
  • Participate in company functions, sales meetings, and training sessions
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members
  • Analyze sales reports and maintain accurate sales documentation
  • Perform administrative tasks including preparing sales budgets, quotes, and reports

Qualifications & Requirements ✅

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or similar, OR
  • HSD/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B, or outside sales experience, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual skills
  • Experience in restaurant management, foodservice, outside sales, or as a chef

Certificates & Licenses

  • Valid driver’s license meeting insurability standards
  • Current auto insurance with required liability limits
  • Successful completion of employment testing
  • Signed Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement
  • Willingness to reside or relocate within the territory

  • Basic proficiency with PC and MS Office
  • Effective communication in English (reading, writing, speaking)
