Position Overview 🤝

This outside sales role focuses on promoting Sysco’s products and services while building strong relationships with new and existing accounts. The goal is to help our customers succeed and achieve sales and profit targets. Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required to meet customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and grow existing accounts to achieve sales targets
  • Identify and qualify prospects aligned with company goals
  • Research customer needs and tailor product/service offerings accordingly
  • Analyze market trends and recommend suitable products
  • Stay informed on market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ offerings
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and usage
  • Provide product training and information to customer personnel
  • Drive personal vehicle to customer sites, events, and meetings 🚗
  • Manage accounts receivable, working with the credit department to ensure timely collection 💰
  • Coordinate deliveries and troubleshoot order issues (stock shortages, special orders, etc.)
  • Participate in company events, promotions, and customer visits
  • Attend sales and district meetings, engage in ongoing training
  • Assist in training new team members as needed
  • Analyze sales reports, bid files, and profit margins
  • Handle administrative duties including sales reports, quotes, and record-keeping
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field, OR
  • HSD/GED plus 3 years in Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales, including Sysco Sales Internship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bi-Lingual in Mandarin and English 🈷️🈶️
  • Experience in Restaurant Management, Food Service Outside Sales, or as a Chef

Certificates, Licenses, & Insurance:

  • Valid driver’s license 🚗
  • Current automobile insurance with liability limits: $100,000 bodily injury per person, $300,000 per accident, and $100,000 property damage

Additional Requirements:

  • Must sign the Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement 📝
  • Willing to reside or relocate near the assigned territory
