Job Summary

This outside sales role involves promoting Sysco's products and services, building relationships with new and existing accounts, and helping customers succeed. The position primarily focuses on achieving sales and profit objectives, with some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) required to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 🌟 Develop new business, enhance existing accounts, and reduce lost business within your territory
  • 🔍 Qualify prospects in line with company account strategies
  • 💼 Research customer needs and tailor product/service solutions accordingly
  • 📈 Analyze market trends to recommend optimal products to customers
  • 📊 Stay informed on market conditions, product innovations, and competitors; share insights with customers
  • ❓ Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and availability
  • 🧑‍💼 Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel
  • 🚗 Travel to customer sites, conventions, and meetings using personal vehicle
  • 💳 Manage accounts receivable, working with credit departments to collect balances
  • 📦 Oversee deliveries, troubleshoot issues like stock shortages or special orders
  • 🎉 Participate in company events, promotions, and customer engagements
  • 📝 Attend and contribute to sales and district meetings
  • 🎓 Engage in ongoing training sessions
  • 🤝 Assist in training new employees when needed
  • 📈 Review reports such as order requests, bid files, and sales margins
  • 📝 Perform administrative duties including preparing budgets, maintaining records, and processing requests
  • ✨ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field, OR
  • HSD/GED with 3+ years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience, or equivalent (including Sysco Sales Internship)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bi-Lingual in English and Mandarin
  • Experience in Restaurant Management, Food Service Outside Sales, or Chef roles

Certificates, Licenses & Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Current automobile insurance with liability limits: Bodily injury - $100,000/$300,000; Property damage - $100,000
  • Willingness to sign Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement
  • Residency or willingness to relocate within territory
