Position Overview
Location: Ohio and Georgia 🏢

As a Safety Manager, you will report directly to the Leader of our Smart Factory teams and will hold full responsibility for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment at your designated site.
Job Summary
The Safety Manager will lead the administration and implementation of Health and Safety programs, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and fostering safe, healthy working conditions. Your role involves performing complex assignments, managing schedules, directing professional teams and contractors, and supporting the creation and enforcement of environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities 🚧
- Manage daily safety initiatives and provide oversight to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
- Develop site-specific safety plans and procedures covering diverse safety issues.
- Implement safety plans and procedures on-site.
- Coordinate safety metrics analysis throughout the year to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Collect data and produce reports including incident reports and safety alerts, supporting continuous improvement efforts.
- Develop hazard mitigation strategies and oversee site safety audits.
- Monitor and maintain Safety Management System programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Observe and enforce safe work practices on-site, including hazard evaluations and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
- Coordinate safety training sessions as needed to ensure staff competence.
Preferred Qualifications ✅
- OSHA certification (preferred).
- 4-5 years of experience in health and safety management, especially in manufacturing or construction sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HSE systems, metrics, KPIs, statistical methods, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and related safety standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on sustainable, high-quality results.
- Excellent project management and multitasking skills.
