Based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, MLS is accessible 24/7 to respond swiftly to short-fused, ongoing, and surge requirements globally. We are actively seeking skilled Russian/Ukrainian Linguists to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview

As a linguist with MLS, you will support government agencies and your office through translation, transcription, and interpretation services, focusing on military, cyber, and science & technology topics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 🚀

• Provide accurate translations and summaries on specialized topics such as military, cyber, and science & technology.
• Translate content into English, Russian, and Ukrainian.
• Edit language products to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Summarize and Gist content, drawing upon linguistic and cultural expertise.

Requirements ✅

• Ability to pass an advanced English proficiency test.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated Polygraph.
• Score ILR Level 3 or higher on Russian and Ukrainian language translation tests.
• Minimum of one (1) year professional experience in translation, transcription, or related services.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Proficiency in translation into and from English, Russian, and Ukrainian.
• Strong editing skills of language products.
• Ability to analyze and summarize content using linguistic or cultural expertise.

Clearance & Citizenship 🛡️

All candidates must be U.S. citizens. Preference is given to those holding TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph. However, candidates with other clearance levels or those eligible for clearance are encouraged to apply.

• Experience with triage processes.
• Subject matter expertise in Counterproliferation, Cyber, and Science & Technology areas.
