What We Look For In a Russian Tutor 🎓

• Advanced Subject Mastery: Profound knowledge of Russian Cyrillic, noun declensions in six cases, verb conjugations with aspect pairs, adjective agreements, pronunciation rules, vocabulary, and cultural literacy. Ability to explain genitive, dative, and instrumental cases, perfective and imperfective aspects, and verbs of motion to prepare students for professional or academic Russian proficiency.
• Conceptual Teaching & Problem‑Solving: Skilled in teaching Cyrillic reading/writing, case systems, and aspect use. Guides students through declining nouns/adjectives, selecting verb aspects, constructing complex sentences, and reading Russian literature and journalistic texts. Emphasizes communication practice and links Russian language to literature, history, and business opportunities.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with Russian curricula and common challenges like mastering declensions, verbal aspects, and Cyrillic fluency. Uses case charts, aspect drills, and authentic texts/media to support learners from beginner to advanced, including TORFL exam prep and academic study.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Capable of identifying student struggles, explaining concepts through various approaches, and customizing lessons to individual learning styles.
