Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and creative Recreation Leader to plan and lead engaging activities for seniors in a skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, outgoing, and able to work directly with residents to provide enriching recreational experiences. 😊

Key Responsibilities

• Organize, prepare, and lead a variety of recreational activities for senior residents in a skilled nursing facility.
• Work closely with residents, encouraging participation and interaction during group activities.
• Assist with moving residents in wheelchairs, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.
• Perform documentation and charting of resident activities using computer software (SigmaCare knowledge is a plus).
• Foster a positive, supportive atmosphere where residents feel engaged and valued.

Qualifications

• Prior experience leading group activities, particularly in a senior care or skilled nursing environment, is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be comfortable interacting with elderly residents.
• Music, artistic skills, or experience with other creative forms of expression are highly preferred.
• Must be in good physical condition, as the role requires moving wheelchairs and engaging in physical activity.
• Basic computer skills for charting and documentation; experience with SigmaCare is a bonus.
• Ability to speak Russian 🌍
