Role Overview

This position initially focuses on Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI), with a well-defined pathway to advance into Video Remote Interpretation (VRI). You will mainly deliver accurate, consecutive interpretation in medical settings, while also facilitating essential communication in social services and financial contexts.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation.

English Proficiency

• Fluent in English at a minimum C1 level.
• Valid certifications from EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE are acceptable.

Interpretation Certification

• Ability to pass a terminology and interpreter skills evaluation conducted during the hiring process.

Core Skills

• Expertise in medical and customer service terminology.

Compliance

• Hold, or be willing to obtain, HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

Background Check

• Willing to successfully complete a standard background check via email.
