🔍 About the Role

We are currently looking for highly skilled Russian HLT Linguists capable of performing a broad range of complex linguistic tasks with accuracy and cultural insight.

📝 What You'll Do

• Translation:
  • Accurately translate digital and hard copy materials between Russian and English.
  • Capture subtle nuances, cultural references, and abstract concepts with contextual accuracy.
  • Effectively interpret geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural references.
  • Use terminology consistent with subject matter norms in the target language.
• Interpretation:
  • Provide consecutive interpretation; occasional simultaneous interpretation may be required.
  • Maintain high fidelity and fluency, demonstrating understanding of regional dialects and cultural context.
• Transcription:
  • Listen to audio or review internet-based content for accurate and efficient transcription.
  • Produce high-quality English-language reports based on audio/visual materials.
  • Understand dialectical variations with nuance.
• Gisting and Summarization:
  • Identify and summarize key facts and abstract concepts accurately.
  • Prioritize and extract critical information from large datasets.
  • Utilize reference materials effectively to ensure quality output.

🎓 What You Bring

• No security clearance required to apply.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (must be fully adjudicated before work begins). Leidos sponsors candidates after passing all required language tests.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6–10 years of related experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Translation and/or interpretation degree is highly desired.
• At least 3+ years of professional translation, transcription, or interpretation experience.
• Successfully complete a Leidos-administered language proficiency test or equivalent at the Senior level or higher.
• US immigration experience is highly desirable.
• Experience in HLT, Machine Learning, AI, LLMS is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and target languages.

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting contingency operations as a deployed linguist.
• Familiarity with U.S. Intelligence Community, military operations, or law enforcement.
• Ability to effectively brief and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in multiple languages is a significant asset.

💰 Pay Range & Benefits

Pay Range: $92,300.00 – $166,850.00
