- Job Title: Retail Banker I
- Role Summary: Acts as a customer liaison, delivering TD's Brand promise through financial expertise and consultative advice to help Customers achieve their financial goals and deepen their relationship with TD.
Key Responsibilities & Scope 🔍
- Identify opportunities to educate Customers on products and services or refer them internally, ensuring a positive experience
- Understand and explain the full product suite, services, and processes with low to moderate risk
- Build and nurture customer relationships through active listening and personalized engagement
- Recommend suitable products and highlight benefits related to individual customer needs and life events
- Utilize CRM tools for customer assessments, proactive sales, and solutions identification
- Resolve customer issues independently; escalate when necessary
- Maintain an active NMLS registration and facilitate loan applications when appropriate
Education & Experience 🎓
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of experience working with customers or in sales (volunteering, education, military experience considered)
- Teller experience preferred; must complete teller training upon hire
- Excellent communication, organization, and decision-making skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Notary License is a plus
Customer Accountabilities 🌟
- Deliver a legendary experience through relationship building, service, and advice
- Act as a Customer advocate, providing proactive tips and resolving issues
- Lead customer flow and guide their banking options, including self-service channels
- Handle transactions like deposits, withdrawals, and transfers while adhering to operational policies
Shareholder & Operational Responsibilities 📋
- Ensure compliance with regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act
- Support daily store operations and maintain operational excellence
- Document transactions accurately and escalate high-risk activities

- Participate fully as a team member, supporting a positive work environment
- Enhance personal knowledge and skills through ongoing training and feedback
- Develop relationships and collaborate to achieve organizational success

Regulatory & Physical Requirements ⚖️
- This role qualifies as a Loan Originator under Regulation Z & SAFE Act, requiring registration with NMLS
- Must pass criminal background and credit checks
- Travel: Occasional domestic travel; no international travel required
- Physical demands: Sitting, standing, walking, lifting under 25 lbs., and repetitive tasks performed continuously or frequently as specified
