Job Overview 📋

The Retail Banker I serves as a vital customer liaison, helping deliver TD’s brand promise by providing financial expertise and consultative advice to meet customers' banking needs. You will support business growth by identifying suitable solutions to help customers achieve their financial goals and deepen their relationship with TD.

Key Responsibilities & Scope 🔍

• Proficient in products, services, and routine transactions, promoting customer education and referrals.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships through product knowledge and active listening.
• Provides product recommendations based on individual needs, highlighting features and benefits.
• Uses CRM tools to assess customer needs proactively and engage in outbound sales activities.
• Resolves customer issues independently, escalating when necessary.
• Engages customers in conversations about loan products and facilitates applications.
• Maintains active registration with NMLS.

Qualifications & Experience 🎓

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of customer service or sales experience (volunteering, education, military experience applicable)
• Teller experience preferred; must complete teller training upon hire
• Strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Notary License preferred

Customer Accountabilities 💼

Deliver legendary service by building trust, providing advice, and acting as a customer advocate. Assist with banking transactions while promoting self-service options, and escalate customer questions when needed. Represent TD internally and externally as a brand champion.

Shareholder & Operational Accountabilities 💡

• Ensure compliance with operational policies and regulations
• Participate in daily store operations and risk management
• Accurately document and support customer transactions and activities
• Uphold TD’s code of conduct and operational excellence standards

Team & Employee Development 🤝

• Build strong relationships with partner bankers and contribute to organizational success

Legal & Physical Requirements 📝

• This role qualifies as a Loan Originator under Regulation Z and SAFE Act
• Must be eligible for employment and registration as a mortgage loan originator with NMLS
• Pass background and credit checks

Physical Demands: Sedentary work, frequent sitting, standing, and occasional walking, lifting, bending, and reaching. Continuous concentration and problem-solving required.
