We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Hindi interpreter to provide remote, over-the-phone interpretation services for the Federal Government, supporting diverse LEP populations across the U.S.

Position Summary 🌟

We are looking for passionate Over-the-Phone Hindi Interpreters to offer exceptional consecutive interpretation to federal clients from their home offices in the U.S. This role involves working closely with LEP populations and requires prior interpretation experience and training.

Key Responsibilities 📝

• Provide accurate, clear, and professional interpretation during sessions
• Maintain the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and customer service
• Convey ideas effectively and ensure confidentiality at all times
• Complete all required training, mentorship, and coaching sessions
• Handle interpretation sessions lasting 2-4 hours with focus and professionalism
• Continuously expand professional knowledge and vocabulary
• Respond effectively to feedback and guidance from supervisors

Important Requirements ✅

• Be a U.S. citizen or hold a U.S. green card, with at least 3 years of U.S. residency
• Legal work authorization to perform interpretation services in the U.S.
• Pass the necessary clearance, paperwork, and language assessments; current government clearance is a plus
• Adherence to Accent on Languages' code of ethics and industry standards
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality, avoiding personal opinions or counseling
• Ability to work remotely with reliable internet and communication tools

Qualifications & Skills 🎯

• Professional proficiency and experience in over-the-phone interpretation
• Minimum of 6 months relevant interpretation experience
• Ability to pass language and terminology assessments
• Experience with government and legal interpretation preferred
• Effective cross-cultural communication skills
• Proficiency with multiple software and phone systems
• Capacity to interpret for extended durations and in dynamic environments
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
• Recognition in language interpretation (legal or community) highly valued
