About the Role

This position involves a structured, call center-style environment where interpreters handle live, continuous calls. Your skills will help bridge communication gaps in various industries, including medical, legal, and customer service, ensuring clear and accurate interpretation in real-time.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Language Skills: Professional-level proficiency in both English and Korean, capable of interpreting complex discussions with speed and accuracy.
• Technical Knowledge: Ability to interpret idiomatic expressions, specialized terminology (medical, legal, financial), and emotionally nuanced content.
• Personal Attributes: Strong active listening, emotional control, professionalism, empathy, and adaptability.
• Performance Skills: Ability to manage high-pressure calls, follow interpretation protocols, and maintain neutrality, confidentiality, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpretation Services: Provide consecutive interpretation between English and Korean across various industries such as medical, legal, and customer service.
• Maintain Standards: Ensure accuracy, clarity, and neutrality, preserving tone, intent, and emotion in every call.
• Confidentiality & Impartiality: Maintain strict confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
• Call Management: Guide call flow professionally, intervening respectfully for clarification when necessary.
• Emotional and Cognitive Skills: Demonstrate emotional intelligence, active listening, short-term memory retention, and effective note-taking, especially during emotionally charged or high-pressure interactions.
