gpac Is Hiring A Remote Bilingual Commercial/Logistics Manager

Gpac is seeking a Bilingual (Chinese-English) Commercial & Logistics Manager to lead logistics, inventory management, and customer service operations for a prominent global ingredient manufacturing company. This role is vital in ensuring smooth product movement from manufacturing sites in China, Indonesia, Thailand, and the U.S. to B2B customers worldwide, serving industries such as food, pet, and CPG. 🌐

About the Role

As the Commercial & Logistics Manager, you will oversee international logistics, coordinate cross-border operations, and provide exceptional service to our global clients. Fluency in both Chinese and English, along with experience in international supply chains, are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • 🌏 International Logistics & Inventory Management
    • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics across all global manufacturing sites, including bulk imports and U.S. domestic shipments.
    • Maintain visibility into inventory levels across multiple countries to ensure timely production and fulfillment.
    • Manage import/export documentation, shipping schedules, and ensure customs compliance.
    • Coordinate with 3PL providers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to guarantee timely deliveries and control costs.
  • 🤝 Customer Service & Commercial Operations
    • Lead the customer service team based in the U.S., ensuring prompt and accurate responses to inquiries, orders, and logistics updates.
    • Collaborate with sales and account managers on pricing, order processing, product specs, and service levels for key B2B clients.
    • Act as the primary point of contact between international manufacturing teams and U.S. customers, aligning production schedules and delivery expectations.
    • Provide customers with necessary documentation, including COAs, product specifications, regulatory forms, and shipment tracking info.
  • 🌍 Cross-Cultural Communication & Coordination
    • Engage daily with teams in China, Indonesia, and Thailand to synchronize production, inventory, and shipping timelines.
    • Translate and convey critical information accurately between Chinese- and English-speaking teams.
    • Help bridge cultural and business communication gaps between manufacturing sites and the U.S. office.
  • ⚙️ Process Optimization & Metrics
    • Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiencies, reduce lead times, freight costs, and inventory levels.
    • Monitor and report on key performance metrics such as OTIF (On Time In Full), order accuracy, and logistics KPIs.
  • 🧑‍💼 Team Leadership
    • Supervise a small team focused on logistics coordination and customer service.
    • Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment centered on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, or related field
  • Fluency in Chinese and English (both spoken and written) is required
  • 8+ years of experience in global logistics, customer service, or commercial operations
  • Experience working with international suppliers or manufacturing plants in Asia preferred
  • Deep knowledge of B2B ingredient supply chains, import/export logistics, and ERP systems
  • Experience in the food or CPG ingredient sectors is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills across cultures and time zones
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, service-oriented approach
