Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site position based in East Rockaway, NY for a Religious School Teacher with expertise in Hebrew and Judaica. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons on Jewish traditions, Hebrew language, and culture
  • Creating a dynamic and interactive learning environment using innovative teaching methodologies
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance educational programs
  • Maintaining open communication with parents to support student growth and foster community bonds

Qualifications

  • Experience in lesson planning and developing engaging educational materials
  • Strong skills in education and teaching, particularly in Jewish traditions, Hebrew, and Judaica
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, parents, and staff
  • Training or certifications related to Hebrew and/or Jewish education
  • A passion for Jewish culture and values, with the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Jewish Studies, or a related field (preferred)
  • Prior experience in Jewish educational settings is a plus
