Hourly Pay Range 💰

$24.75 - $38.36 — The hourly pay rate offered depends on your expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights 📋

• Position: Registered Nurse School Program
• Location: Assigned to 2 schools
• Employment: Full-Time | 40 hours/week
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:45am - 3:45pm | No weekends or holidays

What You Will Do 🩺

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care, understanding patients’ physical and psychological needs.
• Take responsibility for students’ or staff members’ care during injuries or illnesses.
• Maintain up-to-date health records in compliance with state and school policies.
• Administer and monitor medications and prescribed treatments while students are at school.
• Identify and refer students with medical, dental, or healthcare needs; collaborate with parents, staff, physicians, and agencies.
• Provide guidance on exclusion and readmission policies for students with infectious diseases.
• Implement health and wellness programs for students as requested by staff.
• Offer in-services and advice to staff regarding health needs.
• Perform home visits to observe students and families as necessary.
• Conduct vision and hearing screenings, making appropriate referrals.
• Adhere to and uphold school health policies and district guidelines.
• Advise on modifications to educational programs to support students' health needs.
• Evaluate environmental safety to ensure a developmentally appropriate safe environment.
• Participate in meetings and conferences related to student health services and curriculum.

What You Will Need 🌟

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Certification: Current CPR certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross
• License: Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Licensure (active)
• Experience: Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
