We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our School Program who will play a vital role in providing quality health care to students within our community. This opportunity offers competitive pay, growth potential, and the chance to make a positive impact on young lives.

Hourly Pay Range 💰

The hourly pay offered ranges from $24.75 to $38.36. The exact rate depends on the candidate's expertise, years of experience, and other relevant factors.

Position Highlights 📌

• Position: Registered Nurse School Program
• Location: To be determined by supervisor
• Type: Part-Time | 20 hours/week
• Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays

What You Will Do 📝

• Provide age-appropriate care, addressing physical and psychological needs of students.
• Respond promptly to injuries or sudden illnesses of students or staff.
• Maintain current health records in compliance with state and school policies.
• Administer medications and monitor prescribed treatments during school hours.
• Identify and refer students with medical, dental, or healthcare needs; collaborate with parents, staff, physicians, and agencies.
• Advise on exclusion and readmission policies for students with infectious diseases.
• Implement health and wellness programs as requested by staff.
• Provide in-service training and health advice to school staff.
• Make home visits to observe students and their families as needed.
• Conduct vision and hearing screenings; make appropriate referrals.
• Follow and uphold school health policies and district guidelines.
• Advise on modifications to educational programs to address health needs.
• Assess environmental safety to ensure an secure, developmentally appropriate setting.
• Participate in meetings and conferences related to student health services and curriculum.

Qualifications & Requirements 🎓

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Certification: Current Type 73 School Nurse Certification; CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• License: Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Licensure
• Experience: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
