Join a dynamic real estate team in Flushing, NY! We're seeking a bilingual (Mandarin/Cantonese) Real Estate Attorney to spearhead our residential and commercial transactions, providing expert legal counsel tailored to our diverse clientele.

🔑 The Role

As a proactive and detail-oriented attorney, you will lead high-volume real estate closings, blending New York property law expertise with culturally competent service for Chinese-speaking clients. The position involves managing complex transactions with precision and legal acumen.

📝 Key Responsibilities

• Legal Counsel & Strategy: Represent buyers, sellers, and lenders throughout all phases of real estate deals, from negotiations to closing.
• Complex Drafting: Prepare and negotiate purchase agreements, commercial leases, riders, and intricate financing documents.
• Title Oversight: Review title reports and surveys; resolve complex title issues such as easements, encroachments, and estate-related matters.
• ACRIS & Regulatory Compliance: Supervise NYC-specific filings (ACRIS, TP-584, IT-2663) and ensure FIRPTA and 1031 Exchange compliance.
• Bilingual Advocacy: Conduct legal consultations and closings in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, ensuring clients understand their legal obligations and risks.
• Escrow Management: Oversee attorney escrow accounts, ensuring ethical and accurate fund disbursements per NYS IOLA rules.
• Mentorship: Supervise and guide real estate paralegals and support staff to maintain high standards of service.

🎓 Required Qualifications

• Legal Credentials: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active New York State law license.
• Language Mastery: Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in-language.
• Experience: 3–7 years specializing in residential and commercial real estate law in New York.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Flushing’s real estate market, including condos, mixed-use properties, and Co-op boards.
• Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation abilities and a talent for building relationships with brokers, lenders, and opposing counsel.

Salary: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
