Who We Are

You will work on a product designed to enhance quality processes and IT systems for internal manufacturing operations for a major automotive client. This role involves developing software to support production control systems for various components, including exterior parts and carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFK). Our focus is on continuous improvement, ensuring high production quality across multiple locations worldwide. The product aims to evolve a fragmented application landscape into a unified, modular platform, leveraging cloud technologies and microservices architecture to adapt to future needs and integrate initiatives like electric mobility. ⚙️🌐

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborate with team members and customers in an agile environment to conceptualize and create user stories ✨
• Estimate and implement backlog items, ensuring quality standards through unit tests and code reviews ✅
• Proactively suggest technical improvements and engage in skill development for both existing and emerging technologies 🚀
• Support the Operations team with development-related tasks 🔧
• Develop and maintain microservices and event-driven architectures as part of the service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Implement RESTful services for seamless integration and communication between components 🔗
• Participate in designing and developing cloud-based solutions, focusing on scalability and reliability ☁️
• Utilize monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to maintain system performance and uptime 📊
• Engage in CI/CD practices to streamline development and deployment pipelines 🔄
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and successful delivery 🎯
• Assist in integrating IoT devices and platforms to enrich data collection and analytics capabilities 📡

What You'll Bring Along

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role 🧑‍💻
• Strong programming skills in Python 🐍
• Experience with SQL and database systems such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL 💾
• Familiarity with embedded systems and automation technologies ⚙️
• Experience with cloud platforms (especially Azure) and Kubernetes for container orchestration ☁️🌀
• Experience with infrastructure setup, security, backup strategies, and performance tuning 🛡️
• Proven expertise in interface development and system modernization projects 🚀
• Deep understanding of application and system administration, including middleware like Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic 🖥️
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins 🛠️
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana 📈
• Proficient in agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, Git ⚡
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka and protocols such as MQTT, HTTP 📡
• Understanding of system architectures, interfaces, and trade-offs ⚖️
• Ability to write unit tests and manage deployment pipelines 🚧
• Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders 🗣️
• Automotive industry experience is a plus 🚘
• Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn 📚
• Ability to work independently while seeking support when necessary 💪
• Fluency in both English and German is mandatory 🗣️🇩🇪
